Jamil Khatri
Co-Founder & CEO
Jamil is an Indian Chartered Accountant and a US Certified Public Accountant with over 27 years of experience in the consulting and assurance industry serving clients in India, the UK, and the US. He has deep experience in US listings and as the leader of the US GAAP & SEC practice for KPMG, has assisted several large Indian companies in complying with US listing regulations as they raised capital from the US markets.
Jamil pioneered the accounting advisory industry in India and built a market-leading practice advising clients on accounting, reporting, governance, and finance function matters. He subsequently assumed responsibility as the Global Head of KPMG’s Accounting Advisory Services business, a US$ 1 billion practice, with 4,000+ consultants. In his last stint before co-founding Uniqus, he led the assurance practice of KPMG to a market-leading position and served on the leadership team of KPMG India where he also led the Inclusion, Diversity & Equity agenda.
Jamil has served on various industry and regulatory committees and has been featured as a Top 40 business leader under the age of Forty by Spencer Stuart & The Economic Times. He was also selected as one of the three Leaders of Tomorrow in Business for a special feature by India Today, a leading Indian publication.
An avid reader, he loves to travel and soak in multicultural experiences. He has a deep interest in mentoring startups and has personally invested in several early-stage companies. Jamil actively supports a not-for-profit organization that focuses on increasing the education participation of the underprivileged girl child.
Sandip Khetan
Co-Founder, Global Head of Accounting & Reporting Consulting
Sandip is an Indian Chartered Accountant, US Certified Public Accountant, Company Secretary, and an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad with over 25 years of experience in the consulting and assurance industry serving clients in the US, India, the Middle East and the UK. He has deep experience in the area of US listings and has assisted several large Indian companies in complying with US listing regulations as they raised capital from the US markets.
He is known as a problem solver, thought leader, and advisor to companies on IPOs, transactions, divestitures, complex accounting, and regulatory matters. Before his consulting industry stint, Sandip worked with HCL Technologies, a large technology company where he led the overall US GAAP reporting unit.
He was a founding member of the Accounting Advisory Practice at KPMG. During his stint at EY, he led the Finance Accounting Advisory Services practice and was part of the Assurance leadership team. He enhanced the digital capabilities at EY by building technology to automate the reporting in the finance function – this technology is now deployed for clients across different sectors in India and internationally.
Over and above his professional journey, Sandip likes to mentor startups and is also an active investor in the ecosystem. Sandip has a keen interest in badminton and has played at the national level.
Anu Chaudhary
Partner, Global Head of ESG Consulting
Anu is an internationally recognized leader in the ESG domain with rich experience of over two decades. She has worked extensively in varied areas such as Low Carbon Technologies, Corporate Sustainability, Climate Action, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As a part of this journey, she has interacted and worked closely with governments, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, including the United Nations (Germany), American National Accreditation Board (USA), and the Gold Standard Foundation (Switzerland).
Anu worked in the Climate Action & Sustainability vertical of DNV Europe for over a decade and led the Corporate Sustainability group for Tata Technologies. Anu has also worked closely with Ford in North America. In 2016, Anu started her own ESG firm, SustainPlus, which provided a range of services across sectors to clients in India, Europe, the Middle East, and the US.
Anu has been conferred with several awards and recognition over the years, including the ‘CII Women Corporate Leadership Award for ESG’, ‘Most Influential Sustainability Leaders of India’, and the ‘Sheroes Award for exemplary work in Sustainability’. She has also been featured in the British High Commission’s publication dedicated to Top Women Leaders recognized for their significant contribution towards the UN SDGs.
Anu finds her creative fulfillment in painting. She is a voracious reader, loves to travel, meet new people, and is always happy to learn something new.

He has co-authored KPMG’s Accounting handbooks on various topics such as Share-based payments, Revenue recognition, and Accounting for income taxes. Huy Tran

Huy Tran is a Partner and leader of our Accounting & Reporting Consulting practice in the East Coast of the US. He will based in New York.
Huy has an outstanding cross-cultural track record as a global business advisor, entrepreneur, finance specialist, board/C-suite advisor, team builder and change agent in multi-national markets. He has diversified experience in both consulting and private corporate settings with deep expertise in financial services encompassing banking, fintech, crypto, insurance and asset management.
Prior to joining Uniqus, Huy built and led the Banking and Capital Markets Sector for Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) at EY working with very large global clients. Huy has also previously held various finance leadership roles at Liberty Mutual, MBIA, Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley overseeing diverse activities including corporate accounting, financial reporting, SOX internal controls and regulatory compliance.
Matt Berner

Matt brings over 18 years of ESG experience to Uniqus, having spent his career developing broad expertise across the ESG domain. Matt's diverse experience includes advising high-growth companies as a trusted management consultant, in-house roles at multinational corporations, and investment stewardship roles focused on ESG research and analysis.
Prior to joining Uniqus, Matt was most recently Managing Director of ESG Advisory for Gilmartin Group LLC, a strategic consulting and investor relations firm. At Gilmartin Group, Matt established and led the firm's ESG consulting practice, working with client organizations to develop and maintain effective ESG strategies, reporting, and investor relations. Previously, Matt was Director of Corporate Responsibility for CooperCompanies, a global medical device company. As Cooper's first head of ESG, Matt managed all aspects of the company's ESG program, including strategy development and implementation, design and execution of action plans to improve ESG performance, and investor and rating agency engagement to strengthen perception and company reputation. Much of Matt’s ESG expertise comes from his time at Chevron Corporation, a global energy company where he spent over 11 years in ESG-focused roles of increasing responsibility. Matt worked across a variety of functions and geographies at Chevron, providing him broad exposure to areas such as climate change strategy and reporting, natural resource use, ethics and compliance, internal controls, and corporate governance.

Prior to Uniqus, Naresh was with Amazon, where he led the tech team responsible for managing and supporting one of the largest seller-based platforms, with more than one million sellers. In his role, he was responsible for re-engineering the entire invoicing platform to make it more scalable and global. In his earlier organizations, Naresh has contributed greatly to the development of platforms around UPL Agri Tech ecosystem along with launch of UPL first ecommerce launch for retailers. He also played a critical role in revamping tech platform across multiple markets during his journey at the Indian Energy Exchange.
Nirav Patel

He has considerable experience with international reporting, internal control, and governance standards and has been involved with several capital market transactions. During his career, Nirav has worked across Big 4 firms in India and the UK and has been a part of the technical accounting team of KPMG in the UK.

Dr. Rajesh Nair

Rajesh has been an entrepreneur, policy consultant and researcher in the Climate Change, Sustainability and Energy Analytics space, with close to 22 years of experience. He holds a PhD in Public Policy from IIM Ahmedabad.
During his career, he has worked closely with policy makers (including the Indian Prime Minister’s Office), the private sector, DFIs and civil society in promoting Climate Change Mitigation and Sustainable Development. His entrepreneurial ventures have been in the Climate Tech and Blockchain space. Prior to joining Uniqus, he was a Partner with ERM, leading their Climate Change and Sustainability Practice for South Asia. He has global experience, having worked in Japan at NIES and having set up an office in Houston as part of his venture Ecologix. He has published extensively on climate mitigation, including in peer reviewed international journals, and has spoken in international conferences. His publications have been cited in the Nobel Peace Prize winning IPCC’s Fourth Assessment report. He also has a passion to teach and has taken sessions at his alma mater IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore and XLRI.

He was one of the founding members of the market leading Accounting Advisory Practice at KPMG in India. During this tenure at KPMG India, he led some of the most complex IFRS/Ind AS convergence engagements and provided transaction accounting support on several large M&A transactions. He also led automation projects for the finance function at several clients, including IFRS 16 tools, and consolidation & reporting solutions among others. In the Middle East, Dinesh has led some of the largest IFRS convergence and accounting change (revenue recognition, leases, and financial instruments) projects including for some of the largest telecom companies, shipping companies and retail chains, and a large petrochemical company.

Dr. Elena Primikiri

Dr. Elena Primikiri is a Greek national who comes with a rich experience of over 20 years in the consulting, academia, and banking sectors. She holds two Masters, and a PhD from the University of Michigan, and Harvard University.
During her career, she has led sustainability strategies and implemented numerous ESG policies, programs, and practices across the globe & across sectors. She has extensive experience in sustainable finance, multiple reporting frameworks, external ratings, and certifications. Prior to joining Uniqus, she has held multiple senior roles, including Head of ESG worldwide at VFS Global (a Blackstone company), and Director of Sustainable Banking at Piraeus Bank.
Zaid Khatri

Prior to joining Uniqus, Zaid led the CFO Advisory services practice for William Buck, a leading professional services firm in Australia and New Zealand. Before that, Zaid acted in the capacity of Deloitte Australia’s Victorian Government Lead for Accounting and Reporting Advisory services. Zaid was also associated with KPMG, Australia in the past.
