One of the world’s largest energy companies by reserves and production, with 16 group companies across Upstream, Low-Carbon, and Downstream, Marketing, and Trading (DM&T) operations, engaged in developing both onshore and offshore gas fields.
The business situation
- Our client is implementing a Financial Shared Service Centre (FSSC) covering Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Intercompany transactions, and Payroll activities
- As part of this FSSC implementation project (Project Optimal), the Finance team engaged experienced resources to support various activities related to the implementation of Finance Shared Services
- These included RACI Development i.e. leading the documentation and finalization of comprehensive RACI matrices across all FSSC processes, establishing clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability to ensure smooth implementation and governance

Resource Deployment
Deploying two full-time resources for six months to support the delivery of key process requirements
RACI Documentation
Led the documentation and finalization of 20+ RACI matrices for Finance Shared Services (FSS) processes, driving role clarity and accountability across functions
Service Excellence and Finance Support
Supporting service excellence and finance support activities, including process improvements, budgeting, recharge, and system enhancements
Competency Framework
Documenting and finalizing the competency framework for FSSC activities
Checklist Preparation
Preparing AP, AR, IC, and payroll checklists for all rollouts
Transition Management & Employee Mapping
Managing employee transition and mapping by identifying and delivering all FSS transition activities in line with the approved organization
Post–Go-Live Assessment
Finalizing all post–go-live assessment activities, including performance, reporting, and continuous improvement
Rehearsal Testing Support
Preparing and providing the information and documentation required for rehearsal testing during the go-live stage
