Prof. Rajat Moona is currently heading IIT Gandhinagar as Director. Previously, he has served as Director of IIT Bhilai and Director General of the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C DAC). He is also a faculty member in the department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Kanpur. He, along with his students and colleagues, has authored 18 patents, several research papers and books. Prof. Moona holds a BTech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur and a PhD in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. His research area spans over embedded computing, computer security, VLSI design and Operating Systems. He has been instrumental in defining some of the key applications for the country, such as smart card driving license, vehicle registration, e-passport, electronic toll collection, mobility card, and so on. Prof Moona is an active member of the technical committee of the Election Commission of India for EVMs and has been instrumental in defining the EVMs and VVPAT. He has also contributed in defining the national voter service portal and national electoral search for voters. Prof. Moona is the recipient of several awards and recognitions, including Indo-US Science and Technology Fellowship, Poonam and Prabhu Goel Chair Professorship, VASVIK Award for the year 2010, IESA Techno-visionary Award 2014, Fellowship of Maharashtra Academy of Sciences 2015, National award of Election Commission of India 2016 for the best electoral practices, and most recently, a Special Award for IT Initiatives by the Election Commission of India in 2022.

Dr. Jaijit Bhattacharya is the President of the Centre for Digital Economy Policy Research (C-DEP), an independent think tank, and Founder and CEO of Zerone, a cutting-edge AI driven fintech company. With a deep understanding of AI’s transformative potential, Dr. Bhattacharya has contributed to the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Group on AI regulatory frameworks and has led the report on Creating Business AI Ecosystem in India. Dr. Bhattacharya supported the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), for the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) Summit 2023. As a member of NITI Aayog’s Experts Group for Frontier Technologies 2035, he has been instrumental in shaping India’s long-term vision for frontier technologies, including AI. He has helped steer policy strategies for the Digital Economy Working Group (DEWG) under India’s G20 Presidency. He also serves on the Country Code Names Supporting Organisation (ccNSO) Council of ICANN, representing the Asia, Australia, and Pacific regions. As a thought leader in digital transformation and AI, Dr. Bhattacharya has authored over 50 peer-reviewed research papers and has patents in India and the US. As an adjunct Professor at IIT Delhi for over a decade, he teaches management of technology and AI.

Before joining Uniqus, Bharat was a Partner at KPMG India, where he led the Platform Engineering and Low-Code/No-Code Digital Solutions practices on a national level. Bharat is an alumnus of Columbia Business School (USA) and as a continuous learner, he has attended many prestigious courses in emerging technologies such as AI/ML from leading institutions such as Singularity University. Known for his strategic insights, Bharat is a recognized thought leader on redefining business models and enhancing organizational performance through the responsible use of AI.

Dr. Nipun Batra is an Associate Professor in Computer Science at IIT Gandhinagar. Previously, he was a postdoctoral researcher at University of Virginia. He completed his PhD from IIIT Delhi where he was a TCS PhD fellow. His group called the Sustainability Lab broadly works on machine learning and sensing for computational sustainability problems like smart buildings, air quality and wearable healthcare. For air quality, this includes identifying emission sources from satellite imagery, estimating air pollution at locations without sensors and understanding temporal and geographical biases in public understanding and media reporting.

For wearable healthcare, this work extends to smart masks that estimate lung health and thermal imaging to accurately identify calorie expenditure. For smart buildings, his work includes on estimating per-appliance energy consumption from just a smart meter.

Dr. Batra’s work has won many recognitions, including the Young Alumni Award from IIIT Delhi, the Best PhD Presentation at ACM Sensys, Best Demo at ACM Buildsys, and a Best Video Nominee at ACM KDD. His work titled ‘JoulesEye: Energy Expenditure Estimation and Respiration Sensing from Thermal Imagery While Exercising’ was recently showcased at the ACM Ubicomp Conference at Melbourne, Australia.

Mitushi is a Partner with the AI-first tech consulting practice at Uniqus and based in New York. She has 18+ years of extensive expertise in Cybersecurity, Tech Risk, Intelligent Automation, and Transformation. Prior to joining Uniqus, she held various leadership positions at KPMG, working across the U.S. and India. Throughout her career, she has served more than 200 clients worldwide across all major industries, including several Fortune 50 companies.

Mitushi has deep experience in modernizing cyber security and tech risk programs and making them relevant for the AI and cloud environment. Through her combined experience in Cyber, ML and digital automation, she helps clients reimagine the cyber operating model and “do more with less” while effectively navigating the evolving threat landscape.

In her prior roles, Mitushi helped in developing multiple cyber security services revolving around cyber maturity assessments, cyber compliance assessments, cyber strategy and governance, third party risk management, threat and vulnerability management based on leading industry frameworks and standards such as NIST CSF, NIST 800.53, ISO 27001/27002, ITIL, COBIT, SIG, GDPR, CCPA and others.

Matt is a Managing Director with Uniqus based in San Francisco. His diverse experience includes advising high-growth companies as a trusted management consultant, in-house roles at multinational corporations, and investment stewardship roles focused on ESG research and analysis. Prior to joining Uniqus, Matt was most recently Managing Director at Gilmartin Group LLC, a strategic consulting and investor relations firm. At Gilmartin Group, Matt established and led the firm’s ESG consulting practice, working with client organizations to develop and maintain ESG strategies, reporting, and investor relations. Previously, Matt was Director of Corporate Responsibility for CooperCompanies, a global medical device company. Much of Matt’s expertise comes from his time at Chevron Corporation, a global energy company where he spent over 11 years in roles of increasing responsibility. Matt worked across a variety of functions and geographies at Chevron, providing him broad exposure to areas such as climate change strategy and reporting, natural resource use, ethics and compliance, internal controls, and corporate governance.
